Central Coast 3 - Newcastle Jets 0  Central Coast Mariners took the F3 Derby 3-0 over Newcastle Jets in the rain postponed R26 game, with the win ending an incredibly frustrating five month's run; and it was only the second home win at Gosford all season. Gold Coast 0 - Wellington Phoenix 1  A superb defensive effort from Wellington Phoenix, in which Jon McKain, captain Andrew Durante and midfielder Vince Lia were peerless, provided the foundations on which they carved out a 1-0 win over Gold Coast United at Skilled Park on February 7, a result which leaves the victors within a win of securing a home semi-final .. Sydney FC 3 - Perth Glory 2  A brace credited to John Aloisi – one of them full of controversy – and a penalty taken by Steve Corica gave Sydney FC a tough 3-2 win over a competitive Perth Glory at a wet and unfamiliar home at Parramatta Stadium tonight, keeping the heat on for the top two spots .. Adelaide United 2 - Brisbane Roar 0  Adelaide United at last got a win, 2-0, at home, the first since October, and in so doing knocked on the head the slight chance of the Roar making the finals series. Melbourne Victory 2 - North Qld Fury 0  Melbourne Victory shrugged off the absence of captain Kevin Muscat and top-scorer Archie Thompson, and the early loss through injury of defender Matthew Kemp, to defeat North Queensland Fury two-nil at Docklands Stadium on Friday evening. North Qld Fury 2 - Newcastle Jets 1  North Queensland Fury came from behind tonight in the postponed R25 game in Townville to win 2-1 and keep their mathematical finals hopes alive. Newcastle Jets had weathered the hurricane, but 5 days later couldn't keep their early lead alive despite having the better of the game in general .. Chris Dunkerley reports .. Perth Glory 3 - Central Coast 1  A frightful 30 minutes by the Mariners gave Mariners next year signing Daniel McBreen two easy goals and gave Perth Glory enough leeway to end up 3-1 winners and move to fourth spot on the ladder on a hot Perth Sunday afternoon... Wellington Phoenix 1 - Adelaide United 0  19,279 fans - a record crowd to watch a competitive professional football league fixture in New Zealand - saw Wellington Phoenix edge Adelaide United 1-0 at Christchurch's AMI Stadium on 30 January to all but confirm a Hyundai A-League play-off spot .. The AIS and Brisbane met for the 2nd time in a month at the AIS. At the beginning of January a pair of Isaka Cernak strikes separated the two teams.
